What this is
ulpia.io describes software whose source is public at github.com/richard-wollyce/ulpia. Reading the site is free and asks nothing of you.
These terms cover this website and nothing else. They do not cover the software, which carries its own licence, Apache 2.0, in its repository.
What we promise about what is written here
That we will not knowingly write something false, and that the terminal output shown on the front page is real output from the real program, captured on the date shown beside it. The caption under it names that date, the commit and the platform. The markup is made from the program's own bytes: whole lines may be left out, and the caption says which, but no line is edited.
It is not a promise that the page is complete, nor that everything described on it will be built as described. Pre-launch means the plan can change, and nothing on this site is a contract to deliver anything.
The mailing list
If you give us an address, you get messages of the kind described next to the box you ticked, and you can leave at any time. What happens to the address is in the privacy notice. As of the date above, nothing has been sent to anyone.
We are not obliged to keep the list running. If we close it, we say so in a final message.
What not to do here
Do not submit an address that is not yours, and do not use the form for anything other than an address. Do not attack, scrape, overload or probe this site.
Traffic that abuses the form is handled at the edge, by Cloudflare, which serves the page, and not by the form recording who sent it. The form stores no IP address, because collecting a second piece of personal data to protect the first is a bad trade.
What is ours
The text, the design, the name Ulpia and the marks on this site are ours.
The product's source code is open source under the Apache License 2.0; its terms live in the repository's LICENSE file and travel with the code. This page governs only this website.
Links to other places
Where we link somewhere else, we do not control what is on the other end.
Liability
This site is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows us to say so, we are not liable for what you do with what you read here.
Nothing in these terms removes a right you have that cannot be signed away.
Changes
We can change these terms. The date at the top says when we last did.
This edition replaced one sentence and extended one. The replaced sentence said the form was rate limited, which describes a setting this site does not keep in writing; what it keeps in writing is that abuse is handled at the edge, and the sentence now says that. The promise about the terminal output now ties it to the date, the commit and the platform in its caption. The sentences that say the source is public and name its licence now link the repository and its LICENSE file.
Which law applies
The laws of Brazil, where the person responsible for this site lives and works. If you are a consumer somewhere else, this does not take away the protections your own law gives you.
